Complex & Samsung Galaxy

For the latest campaign of the new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Samsung with the help of Complex Luxe commissioned me along with 2 more designers from NY to create a piece from scratch using all of the useful tools that this phone brings to creators like us. Better yet and to bring the impact of this creations even higher, the final works were auctioned by world-famous Sotheby’s auction house and the full proceeds of these sales will go to each designers’ charity of choice, in my case, I chose Rescue.Org, as I definitely admire the huge global reach they have to offer help for those in need.

My final piece for this auction is called ‘Striving For Balance’ and it's a 80x120cm piece, hand-painted in acrylic on 100% cotton canvas. For this artwork I highlighted the importance of maintaining calm, a sense of balance with yourself even when everything outside is the exact opposite. That for me, is the ultimate expression of ‘modern luxury’, to give yourself time to recover, to find yourself and nurture that time as sacred.

For the project, we also worked on a series of 4 Instagram Stories as ‘teasers’ for the collaboration, as well as a full video we shot in my studio and city as shoulder content for the making-of the artworks while making full use of the Galaxy Z Flip.
