Hola Lou x El Rayo Tequila

A celebration of authentic Mexican roots from the perspective of a modern generation of creators. Through a series of 3 exclusive prints, in collaboration with UK’s El Rayo Tequila and I dug up some of the highlights from my country that make up for what El Rayo truly stands for. The final pieces represented concepts ranging from the Agave plant, rich Mexican soil, colorful landscapes and the folk story behind how tequila came to life. Each of these 3 artworks fuses a traditional view with a fresh sense of what a contemporary México actually feels like in modern days.

Named ‘Te Cuento Mi Historia’, ‘Se Hace de Noche’ and ‘Fresco’ after their unique stories behind each one of them. A homage to my roots, redefined to break boundaries and make people from around the globe question burdens. Honored to be able to put my country’s name up high in such a vibrant way.
